Spring Break Mission 2023

After Jesus had washed his disciples feet (John 13), he said to them, “I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you (vss 14b-15).” One of Christ’s most powerful teachings was to press upon our hearts that we live service to His most precious part of creation - each other. “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:35).”

This is who we constantly remind ourselves to be at the RFC Church of Christ Student Center. We simply want to be servants to others. We had an opportunity over Spring Break to practice service. The RFC took thirteen individuals to Dayton, Ohio to work with the Disaster Response Team (DRT). If you don’t know DRT, they are an organization designed to help those in need affected by natural disasters. DRT will partner with local churches of Christ and organize volunteer work in the community. Often times this is immediate and much needed help during critical stages of disaster clean up. DRT also continues to work with these communities through the rebuilding phases. The NSU college students was able to travel to the DRT “home base” to help prepare for future disasters. No doubt many of the care packages that the RFC helped assemble are now being given away in Amory, MS. If you have an opportunity, reach out to this wonderful organization through their website at www.churchesofchristdrt.org and plan to help by volunteering your time or funds.

Keep praying for our students as their finals are drawing near!
